Aspiring Places Guidelines

By submitting your project proposal to Aspiring Places, it is assumed that you agree to the following terms and conditions: 

  1. Project proposals submitted to Aspiring Places are initiated by community groups and organisations across Argyll and Bute. 
  2. Project proposals submitted to Aspiring Places are ideas and aspirations. There is no guarantee they can or will be funded or delivered.  
  3. Any information you share on Aspiring Places will be in the public domain and treated as non-confidential. Please be aware that this includes any personal or identifying information contained within project proposals, videos, images, documents or weblinks provided. 
  4. Any of the content you submit or upload to Aspiring Places may be published elsewhere on the web [e.g. on the Argyll and Bute Council website] as well as through other appropriate means to publicise this initiative. 
  5. Your group or organisation is wholly responsible for any content you submit and upload, including any external documents or other content that you choose to share via links or other methods. 
  6. All information relating to projects is submitted to Aspiring Places voluntarily and your group or organisation is the owner of the intellectual property rights to this content. Please follow this link for more information about intellectual property.  
  7. Collaboration and partnership working is a key objective of Aspiring Places. Argyll and Bute Council does not undertake to manage conflict between groups and/or organisations arising from their participation in Aspiring Places.  
  8. Any decision-making about how projects are to be delivered should involve the group or organisation that has submitted the project proposal as an equal partner. Unless otherwise agreed, responsibility for delivering the project remains with the group or organisation that has submitted the project proposal.  
  9. In the event that stakeholders identify projects that they may wish to include in other plans and strategies, they should seek agreement from the group or organisation that has submitted that project proposal. 
  10. The direct message function of Aspiring Places may be used by other registered users (e.g. individual community members, community groups and organisations, the Council and its partners) to contact you to seek further information about your project proposal.  
  11. You are responsible for monitoring the notifications, information and reminders that will be sent out from time to time via Aspiring Places.    
  12. You are responsible for updating all content for each of the project proposals submitted on behalf of your group or organisation. 
  13. Where relevant, all regulatory processes required to deliver projects remain in place and no works should start on a development project without all the necessary consents (including planning permission) being in place.  You can contact your local Area Planning and Building Standards Office for further information and guidance.
