Information about the CLLD Fund

The Argyll and the Islands Community Led Local Development (CLLD) Fund has been provided by the Scottish Government's CLLD programme. The delivery will be overseen by the Argyll and the Islands Local Action Group (LAG) and will be administered by Argyll and Bute Council as the Accountable Body.

The programme can fund both capital and revenue projects.

Projects must demonstrate that activity will advance inclusion, equality, and diversity, and support one or more of the main fund priorities for 2024/25 which are: 

  • Eradicating child poverty 
  • Growing the economy
  • Tackling the climate emergency
  • Improving public services 

Eligible Applicants

  • Constituted community groups

  • Third sector organisations

  • Public sector organisations

Grants

Grants of between £10,000 and £75,000 are available, with a maximum of £40,000 for the revenue funding element

Grant requests of up to 90% of project costs will be considered (requiring at least 10% match funding).

The closing date for applications is Friday 28 June 2024

How can I put my project forward for CLLD funding? 

Option 1: Use Aspiring Places! Once you've added your project proposal to Aspiring Places, you can simply click the 'Im interested' button' and select 'CLLD' to add your proposal to this list for consideration. Aspiring Places will help you to save time and effort by creating a project proposal that can be put forward for multiple funding opportunities, such as CLLD. 

Option 2: Click on the 'create a budget investment' button at the top of this page to tell us about your project you would like to put forward for CLLD funding.

Reviewing projects

Once you've added your proposal, a funding officer may reach out for more details about your project.

If your project is eligible, you might be asked to complete a full application.

Successful projects will be listed on Argyll and Bute Voices.

If your project isn't eligible or doesn't get funded, you'll receive direct feedback and be guided to the Community Development team for support in developing your project.

Lorn and Oban Healthy Options Ltd- Elevate: A programme designed to support people with health issues get access to exercise and physical activity.

Homestart Lorn- Family Centre: Opening a new family centre in Oban that will offer support to families with young children

Tarbert Football Association- Renovation of the pavilion at Cil Andreis playing field in Tarbert.

Argyll & the Isles Coast & Countryside Trust- ACT Now – recycle: Refurbishment of donated bicycles, eBike technician training to expand the free eBike loan service with four additional donated eBikes, and re-establish bike units in Lochgilphead.

Tiree Community Gym- Tiree Community Gym: Create a new community gym on Tiree.
