Why is our project needed?
Mid Argyll Mental Health Group currently hold weekly sessions to support those with mental health challenges in the community.The sessions are currently held weekly, with between 15 and 20 adults attending. There is a waiting list of over 30 people who have registered interest in attending the weekly sessions.
What will we do?
We would like to host an additional weekly session to meet the unmet demand. This will require employing an additional staff member, renting the local hall, providing refreshments, and marketing and promotion. We would also like to take our members on two away day sessions a year. The away day sessions will focus on meditatiion and yoga. We will require funding for our away days to cover transport, venue hire, instructor costs and food and drink.
